Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's 21 championships have been achieved on hard courts
A resurgent Medvedev secured his initial championship for nearly 30 months with a win over opponent Moutet in the tournament title decider.
Medvedev, a former top-ranked player, has had a torrid period, winning just one match at the major tournaments and undergoing a setback at the New York tournament.
The player's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his service game in especial - led to him exiting of the elite rankings and ultimately separating with long-term mentor Gilles Cervara.
Currently training with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently progressed in the recent weeks - peaking in a tightly fought three-set triumph over challenger Corentin Moutet.
This represents the player's first championship since the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hardcourt from March of 2023.
Victory also signifies he has won twenty-one titles at twenty-one different competitions.
"It's the first time I am participating in a tournament with my two daughters simultaneously, so to secure a trophy is especially meaningful," stated ranked player Medvedev.
"This title is in dedication of my child Victoria, because the initial championship I won when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his past six finals, including in the German tournament previously this season.
Medvedev's retrieving approach and regular reactions on the tennis court had led commentators to wonder if his skill to play at the highest level was concluded.
However the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, attempting to approach the net and compete assertively, reinforced by an better serving game.
Medvedev came back from a disadvantage in the first set against the challenging Frenchman, winning 4 of the final five games to gain the advantage.
Both players swapped break points in the following set before the challenger, striving for his maiden tour victory, gained dominance to force a final set.
The opponent defended four early-game opportunities in a tight deciding set before the Russian won the break to 15 to close out the victory.
Fittingly, Medvedev secured victory with a rally at the net area, with Moutet unable to manage a return after a lengthy match.
